KCP&L and Spire Energy                                     Home Energy Savings Program

Get up to $1,600 for air sealing and attic insulation.
Get rebates from KCP&L and Spire Energy for energy efficiency improvements - $600 for air sealing and $1,000 for attic insulation through their Home Energy Savings Program.

Steps to participate:
  1. Have an Authorized Contractor perform a comprehensive energy audit on your home (Green CAT Services is an Authorized Contractor so schedule today)
  2. Install at least one approved energy efficiency improvement recommended by your energy auditor
  3. The contractor/auditor will submit the application for you
  4. You will receive the rebate in 6-8 weeks, or you can sign them over to your contractor
  5. Be comfortable and start saving!

To keep you cool in the summer and warm in the winter, Green CAT Services can offer you our $995 Insulation Package through KCP&L's and Spire Energy's Home Energy Savings Program. The Insulation Package includes a comprehensive energy audit, air sealing, attic insulation, a computer energy modeling report of your home, follow up testing, and program processing all for $995. Work must be scheduled and completed by August 31, 2019. You must be a Missouri resident with both KCP&L and Spire Energy and must be in good standing. KCP&L and Spire Energy rebates assigned to Green CAT Services. $75 per additional 100 square feet (limit 200 additional square feet), then $1.10 per square foot after 1,700 square feet of attic space. Price is good for attic space over conditioned area. Package cannot be separated.

Spire Energy Low-Interest Financing


Spire Energy has financing available for energy efficiency improvements including air sealing, duct sealing, windows, doors, insulation, and even energy audits.

Overview:
  • 3% fixed financing up to $5,000
  • No fees
  • No downpayment required
  • Application is approved within 24 hours
  • Payements are put on your Spire Energy bill and, often times, the savings from the energy improvements balance out with the payment
  • If you have KCP&L as well, you will qualify for KCP&L's and Spire Energy's Home Energy Savings Program rebate of up to $1,600

To Qualify:
  • Residential customers of Spire Energy, including landlord renting to residential customer
  • Applicant must reside in home to be improved, unless landlord signs consent
  • Applicant must own or be purchasing home to be improved
  • Improvements can only be completed by members of Spire Natural Gas Contractor Program (Green CAT Services is a member)
  • Improvements can be made to single family, duplex, triplex, fourplex, or mobile home
  • Improvements must include, where feasible, increase in attic/ceiling insulation level to minimum R-38
  • Can also add the following improvements: attic, floor, wall, and duct insulation; duct sealing; air sealing; attic ventilation; caulking and weatherstripping; storm doors and storm windows; and an energy audit

Credit Requirements if Loan is Less than $1,000:
  • No more than 30 days arrears
  • Within the past 12 months: no service disconnected for non-payment, no submission on unhonored checks, received no more than 4 deliquent notices
  • If applicant has fewer than 12 months of services, a commercial credit report must show open credit and timely meeting of payments

Credit Requirements if Loan is More than $1,000:
  • Pass all requirements from above (if loan is less than $1,000)
  • Minimum Beacon score 650, credit run through Equifax
